Principal Ballerina, Misty Copeland (American Ballet Theater, New York, NY) shares her story and words of encouragement for African-American girls. She's beautiful, gracious and dedicated to pushing and promoting "little brown girls" to follow in her footsteps as she breaks down the barriers and to "diversify classical ballet."

Misty Copeland embodies the essence of UrbanGirlz Magazine's mission and vision. We salute Misty and congratulate her on her recent marriage and the launch of her Égal Dancewear line. Keep dancing and inspiring Misty. Thank you for being an inspiration to UrbanGirlz everywhere.
