Students Must Have Post Graduation Plan to Graduate

A recent study reveals what we for quite some time already knew, Black girls are viewed less innocent and more adult-like than their white counterparts. This distinction can be seen in how harshly Black girls are treated in school when it comes to discipline to the willingness of fathers to walk out on their families.

Startlingly, the study conducted by The Georgetown Law Center of Poverty and Equality found the difference between how girls are viewed started as early as five years old. To read about more about the disturbing study, click here...

18-year-old Bianca Robinson a recent high school graduate was gunned down last week in what police call a road rage incident.  A 2017 graduate, Bianca and a red pick up were merging from a two-lane to a one-lane street when the driver in the red truck pulled out a gun and shot Bianca.   

 

Though he kept going, 28-year-old, David Desper later turned himself into the police. RIP Bianca.

After working hard throughout her school year, Jasmine Shepard was honored to find out she had the highest grade point average in her school garnering the sole title of Valedictorian.

 

Well, at least that's how it usually works, but for Jasmine a senior at Cleveland High School in Mississippi, to she and her family's utter surprise, the school informed Jasmine she would have to share the Valedictorian title with a white student despite their GPA being lower.
